Entry requirements

☐ Visitors to Azerbaijan must obtain a visa from one of the Azerbaijani diplomatic missions unless they are citizens of one of the visa-exempt countries, or citizens eligible for an electronic visa on arrival, or citizens eligible for an electronic visa.

Laws that could get a tourist arrested

• ☐ Photography Restrictions — It is illegal to photograph military sites, equipment, or anything of strategic importance. If you are unsure if a subject is restricted, ask before taking the photo.
• ☐ Same-Sex Marriage Ban — Same-sex marriages are formally banned in Azerbaijan. There are no legal protections in place for the rights of LGBT people.
