  • Cyclones possible during rainy season (December to April).
  • Le Kartala on Grand Comore is an active volcano.
  • Most countries' diplomatic presence in Comoros is carried out through embassies located in nearby Madagascar, Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, or South Africa, though a few countries do operate full embassies or other diplomatic offices in Moroni.
