Real talk

What travelers actually say

Travelers looking at Ukraine face uncertainty driven by government travel warnings and the ongoing conflict. While the desire to visit stems from a strong currency and the appeal of sites like Chernobyl, official advisories from the US and UK create a barrier for many. Concerns regarding transit through airports like Borispol involve both the quality of local airlines and the broader safety implications of flying in or over a conflict zone. There is no consensus on the ground reality of daily safety, as the discourse remains focused on the validity of official warnings rather than specific street-level crime or local scams.

I've been reading up on how Ukraine is amazing to visit since the USD is really strong right now but, after doing some additional research, found that US and UK governments have issued travel warnings for the area.

I am not sure if its even completely safe to have a connecting flight there or fly over it if I would choose to fly with Aeroflot from Warsaw wouldn't they be flying over Ukraine anyways?

I just want to see Chernobyl and get some (relatively) cheap travel in but there are other places in the world to see if now is a bad time.
